ROTARY DIAL INDEXER - INDEXING UNITS


Overview – Hollow Output Rotary Table

SANKYO offers a full line of dial indexing rotary tables to accurately position dial plates over 32 feet in diameter. Standard hollow output turrets can route supply lines, wiring, push rods or mount shaft bearings. A stationary flange for mounting a second dial plate above the indexing dial plate can provide mounting for pick & place handlers or measurement tooling.

Standard rotary indexing units average ±10 arc seconds positioning accuracy (but not to exceed ±30 arcsec) with optional high accuracy units available. All units perform bi-directional indexing motions, oscillating or non-patterned motions with a servo driven continuous lead cam. Most units can be fitted with an adjustable output torque limiting clutches to protect the indexer during tooling crashes.

AD Series Rotary Indexer (High Torque Capacity)
The AD Series is a cost-effective solution to most applications. It features low profile cast iron housing with a stationary bored output and second stationary dial plate mounting flange. An induction type geared motor has little to no mounting inference.

Application: Low cost, industries largest torque capacity
Dial Plate Sizes: 630 to 4,050mm (2 to 13 feet)
Output Motion: 2 to 32 fixed output stops (other stops are available)
Cycles/minute: 0 to 200
Positioning Accuracy: Size dependent, ±15~30 arc seconds (±15 equals ±0.0014" on a 20" radius)
Output Bore Diameter: Ø17 to 127mm (Ø0.66 to 5.00”), stationary
Housing Sizes: 8

 

Coming Soon... BR Series Rotary Servo Ring Indexer
Our BR Series features a very large stationary bore with a thin wall ring type indexer. This design includes bearings with large bending moment capacity, high accuracy positioning and programmable motions with a servo motor drive.

Application: Programmable motions, accuracy, vari-speed, frequent cycling, light to heavy loading
Dial Plate Sizes: TBD
Output Motion: Programmable to any motion in forward or reverse
Cycles/minute: 0 to 200
Positioning Accuracy: TBD
Output Bore Diameter: Ø460mm for 240 degrees to full open at Ø310mm (stationary)

DT Series Rotary Indexer (Special Design Options)
Our DT Series includes a very rigid output turret support by large diameter bearings. The cast iron is low profile with webbing for extreme rigidity, stationary hollow output bore and station dial plate flange. It's designed for special application for high speed, high accuracy, large torque capacity, special mounting or special drive options.

Application: Special motion, accuracy, speeds or loading
Dial Plate Sizes: 720 to 4,050mm (2 to 13 feet)
Output Motion: 4 to 96 fixed output stops (other stops are available)
Cycles/minute: 0 to 200
Positioning Accuracy: Size dependent, ±20~30 arc seconds (±20 equals ±0.0019" on a 20" radius)
Output Bore Diameter: Ø30 to 180mm (Ø1.18 to 7.08”), stationary
Housing Sizes: 7

DTR Series Rotary Indexer (Special Design with Integrated Reducer)
The DTR Series has the same features as the DT Series but includes an integrated internal reducer for a compact footprint. It's designed for extremely large loads.

Application: Special motion, accuracy, speeds or loading
Dial Plate Sizes: 4,050 to 7,200mm (13 to 23 feet)
Output Motion: 4 to 96 fixed output stops (other stops are available)
Cycles/minute: 0 to 200
Positioning Accuracy: Size dependent, ±20 arc seconds (±20 equals ±0.0019" on a 20" radius)
Output Bore Diameter: Ø180 to 240mm (Ø7.08 to 9.44”), stationary

Do Series Rotary Ring Indexer
Each Do Series features a very large stationary bore with a thin wall ring type indexer. This design has dual cam follower rows for extreme bending moment capacity for unbalanced loading.

Application: Special motion, accuracy, speeds or loading
Dial Plate Sizes: 2,790 to 9,900mm (9.1 to 32 feet)
Output Motion: 16 to 60 fixed output stops (other stops are available)
Cycles/minute: 0 to 200
Positioning Accuracy: Size dependent, ±20~30 arc seconds (±20 equals ±0.0019" on a 20" radius)
Output Bore Diameter: Ø310 to 1100mm (Ø12.2 to 43.3”), stationary
